Dance play for children
Tale from the Round Street
Dance play for children
Co-production of Julcsi Paár and the Fitos Dezső Company
There was a tiny village, full of chirping birds, somewhere on the banks of the Danube, once upon a time…
All the inhabitants of the Round Street, from the chattering girls to the lads testing their strength and agility, from the old shepherd to the healer woman, they are all peculiar in an ordinary way. But they are endearing characters: important parts of the community. There is something to learn from each one of them, something to guide you through Round Street’s thousand nooks and crannies. Because in the blink of an eye, every viewer, listener, singer and dancer becomes part of this village that comes to life with the colourful whirl of music and dance, and of the adventures unfolding among the houses. The Round Street is not only about the main characters of our performance, Julcsa Varga and Pista Basa – it is about all of us: about children and adults, and about human relationships. So, we can sing the song – „Round Street, little house, inside, my rose, what are you doing?” – in many different ways. It’s up to us which way we turn it around!
