dance theatre featuring Modern Art Orchestra
Béla Bartók: Fifteen Hungarian Peasant Songs
“The Fifteen Hungarian Peasant Songs” is a work by Béla Bartók: the composer arranged for piano the collection of short folk melodies, which he collected himself. The original work was adapted for large orchestra by the creative artists of the Modern Art Orchestra. In their work, they took great care to preserve the original form, melody and tone of the songs. Just as the orchestra builds a bridge between folk and contemporary art, the dance embodies the moods and feelings of life based on the original folk songs. The production brings our folk songs to life in their emotional fullness through music and dance – so that the audience becomes a participant in the creation thanks to the immediacy of the experience.
