Passageways

Co-production of the Fitos Dezső Company and the Dalinda Trio 

Ever since its foundation, the Fitos Dezső Company’s credo has been to go back to the purest source and interpret one of the most colourful and richest repositories of Hungarian folk tradition, authentic folk dance, in a contemporary way. 

The singers of the Dalinda acapella trio – Fanni Nádasdy, Julianna Paár and Sára Tímár – are all deeply dedicated to Hungarian folk music. Yet in their musicality, they strive to bring the authentic, instinctive singing style emanating from folk songs to the stage, in a modern, polyphonic form, sensitively reworked and reinterpreted. Their songs are about all of us, because our folk songs are the collective carriers of our ever-circulating thoughts and feelings, the purest source of our self-expression. Directed by Enikő Kocsis and Dezső Fitos, the Dalinda Trio and the Fitos Dezső Company present the trio’s latest album entitled: Passageways. Through various aspects, the production „Passageways” illustrates the collective phenomena, life situations, emotions and conflicts, that we all experience, with the tools of traditional movement and vocal culture.
